Mercy Flights ground 9-1-1 services are currently provided in the Ambulance Service Area (ASA) # 2 in Jackson County, Oregon, and provides Basic Life Support (BLS) to Advanced Life Support (ALS) levels. Mercy Flights conducts air medical services in both fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. Fixed wing operations generally operate within a 600 nautical mile radius from Medford, OR. Rotor wing operations generally operate within a 200 nautical mile radius. The flight medical team also provides Critical Care ground ambulance transports when needed.

Mercy Flights hosts a ground fleet comprised of:

  • 27 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 250 and 3500
  • Two Ford e350 type 2-box ambulances
  • Four support vehicles
  • Four MIH vehicles

The Communications Center provides 24/7 state-of-the-art dispatching services for all Mercy Flights vehicles.  Acting as a direct link with Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon, the Mercy Flights Communication Center receives 9-1-1 call information and dispatches the closest ambulance resource.   Live tracking of all ambulances is performed through mobile GPS systems.

Within minutes, our trained paramedics are on the scene, providing advanced life support and transportation to the most appropriate medical facility.

Mercy Flights also provides non-emergency transportation with advanced notice. For transportation to and from local airports and hospitals or non-emergency service, call (541) 779-6551. Inter-facility transports to areas outside of the indicated service area are available with advance notice.
