Medford, Ore.— Jackson Care Connect received the Excellence in EMS Integration Award from the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare (AIMHI) on Saturday, June 21. Mercy Flights nominated Jackson Care Connect for the national award, which was presented at a ceremony Jackson Care Connect and Mercy Flights staff attended virtually.

“Jackson Care Connect is honored to receive the Excellence in EMS Integration Award for the work we’ve partnered on with Mercy Flights’ Mobile Integrated Healthcare team,” said Jennifer Lind, Executive Director, Jackson Care Connect. “In striving to make health care more accessible and equitable, we’re grateful to have a nimble, creative and steadfast partner like Mercy Flights.”

The award reflects the deep partnership between Jackson Care Connect and Mercy Flights’ Mobile Integrated Healthcare Program. The two organizations have designed and implemented several projects to meet Jackson Care Connect members and community members where they are, bringing health care directly to the homes and communities of high-risk and underserved populations.

The joint projects have included follow-ups after 911 calls, chronic disease monitoring and behavioral health support. All are designed to serve the organizations’ goals to improve patient care, expand access to care and reduce unnecessary emergency department visits.

“We’re incredibly proud of our partners at Jackson Care Connect and the impactful work we’re accomplishing together through Mercy Flights’ Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) services,” said Sheila Clough, Chief Executive Officer, Mercy Flights. This recognition from AIMHI highlights the power of partnership and innovation in building more accessible and equitable health care. It’s an honor to stand alongside national leaders in this space as we continue working to meet people where they are, with compassion and purpose.”

The Academy of International Mobile Healthcare represents high performance emergency medical and mobile health care providers in the United States and abroad.
